I am on vacation now and can't get you the model of my 7 gig exabyte at
work. I paid $2500 for the exabyte. I can only hope that it will work when
I get updated flyer software.

I am using five 9 gig micropolis for video and one 4 gig seagate for
sound. I am using standard play and I don't get stuttering. Again, I did
have this problem until I went from a .5 gig to a 4 gig audio drive. I went
to this larger drive when I discovered a 500 meg hidden file on my 500
meg audio drive. I called Newtek and found that the flyer creates this file
when I play my project. If the flyer runs out of room on the audio drive it
starts putting audio files on ANY drive it can find, and this was causing
my stuttering as it shifted around trying to find its audio files.

I have recorded some shorter clips 3-5 minutes in high quality mode and
they played back ok. But I hear from this group that longer clips get into
trouble. BTW I recorded bars in standard and high quality mode and
alternated them in a project. There was little quality difference except for
chroma noise in the red and violet region. My finished projects generally
go on to S-VHS tape and most of my customers would never see this
difference. I do have one client doing commercials on Beta SP. He
demands the HQ mode. Since commercials are so short, I have no
problem with clip length.

If you have an extra toaster handy you can do multiple graphics layering.
I record the same clip  from another toaster first without graphic keys
and again with graphic keys. Then I just mix them on the flyer and add a
third graphic level. It seems the only way to keep the same graphic over
dissolves and drop on and off extra keys without using the ugly luma
keyer.
